Sweet 16 Holiday Inn – Downtown Lynchburg

Sweet 16 are great events for Official Entertainment because, simply put: we love dance parties. This one was no exception… hosted at the Holiday Inn in downtown Lynchburg, the evening began with guests being greeted by a life-size Justin Bieber cut out. The was balloons and decorations through-out.

Excepting upward of 100 guests wanting to hear bass pounding hip-hop music, we used two speakers and two sub woofers to make sure there was enough sound. We also used a high-powered strobe light and double derby moving color light fixtures to add just the right amount of interest and fun.

We know Ravin and her guests had a great time and great memories… Happy Birthday Ravin!

EC Glass Prom 2011

This was the fourth year being able to provide the entertainment for EC Glass High School prom. We love proms and enjoyed seeing all the prom goers have a great time. This is one of our larger regular events and we partner with Double-E-Productions to provide sound reenforcement and lighting support. With 500 plus, we make sure there is sound to spare. For this event we brought 4 18″ sub-woofers and 4 dual 15″ speakers, with more then enough power to keep the party going all night. EC Glass also books a full party lighting setup: strobes, laser, bubbles, color flashers and intelligent lighting for good measure. City View by The James – Engagement Party

What a beautiful evening for an engagement party… having the best view of downtown Lynchburg, doesn’t hurt. City View by The James is on Main Street in the center of downtown Lynchburg VA and has the most spectacular view. Perfect for special events, City View is fresh off a re-model and looks fantastic. The natural stone and wood flooring really gives it a warm feeling… but at night, the lights from the city definitely gives you a contemporary vibe.

I got the chance to work with one of the areas top caters, Repast Catering. They always put out great looking and tasty food. I also got the opportunity to see A Portrait By Shanna in action. I have known Shanna for years, but this is the first time we worked together. Her photo booth was a big hit.

Congratulations to Douglas and Rachel, thank you for allowing us to help you celebrate your engagement!

Katie & Andrew – Mariners Landing Wedding

The first wedding of the season for Mariners Landing, April 9th, was met with threatening rain showers all day. The rain held off until the last possible moment. As the rain started, the staff of Mariners Landing (Benjamin’s at the Pointe) moved quickly to move the ceremony inside.

At the end of the night, the bride and groom had a great wonderful wedding reception. Benjamin’s at the Pointe did a great job catering and helping with wedding coordination.

Nikki & Josh Campbell – Boonsboro Country Club

On April 2, 2011 we had the privilege of providing wedding reception entertainment for Nikki and Josh Campbell. The forecast was for scattered showers and chilly, which turned out to be right on the money… but when it was time for the reception, the sky opened and the sun was bright. I am sure the photos by Sam Stroud Photography on the greens at Boonsboro Country Club will be magnificent. Tara Cofer, co-owner of Tresca on 8th, helped with reception coordination… which we love. Having an experienced professional coordinator is a much have, and helps makes the event run smooth.
